Personal injury cases involve a web of parties — clients, attorneys, medical providers, insurance adjusters — who need to communicate clearly and often, but rarely have a shared system for doing so. LegalStream is a San Antonio-based platform built to fix that: a case management system that puts everyone in the same room, digitally speaking.

I joined as UI Design Assistant and UI Developer, supporting the redesign of key interface components, contributing to the Atomic Design system, and creating the visual design for the company's investor pitch deck.

Goal

Contribute to a platform that reduces the communication friction — and the human cost — of navigating a personal injury case, for both clients and legal professionals.

Target Audience

Personal injury clients seeking legal support, and the legal and medical professionals managing their cases.

Investor Pitch Deck

A compelling pitch deck is a design problem as much as a business problem — and the brief here was clear: short, simple, stunning.

The deck was structured to communicate LegalStream's value proposition in the first two slides and build from there: the problem (communication failures in personal injury cases cost time, money, and outcomes), the solution (a modern platform that puts all parties in sync), and the opportunity (a significant and underserved market with strong scalability).

The visual design — data-led, clean, and built for a room full of investors who have seen too many slides — aimed to make the business case feel as inevitable as it actually was.

Potential Impact and Investor Focus

The investor pitch deck strategically highlighted LegalStream's significant potential. By clearly presenting the communication inefficiencies in personal injury cases and LegalStream's modern solution, the deck aimed to demonstrate to investors:
